So.. Todays events..

So today(wednesday) was back to college from a week n 2 days off for half term :D and the plan was to go to the Cambridge Picture House to watch a private viewing of  the film, ‘Timecode’, which was released in 2000. Then back to college it was for a meeting about the final stage of my Foundation course.. eeek! 14/15 weeks left of college… that’s a bit scary!

So firstly, the cinema trip was err interesting… ‘timecode’ doesnt exactly sound like an arty film does it.. (it was supposed to be!) I won’t go into detail about the film b’cos it was just too weird to explain! lol. so i will give you the link to the trailor for it instead and i will let you make up your own mind about it… including the question Would you want to sit for an hour n half watching that?!

I love ebay! :D

Right so, i’ve been introduced to Ebay at last, a friend from college suggested i go on it to get things for Textiles. So it turns out i have ordered and received two products already, within the space of a week! :D  Impressed or what! :D So yeah, i wanted to get some Organza (type of thin material) for my Artist book project and i couldn’t find any that was in my price range in shops so Ebay was the direction for me! Also, i ordered some beads which i’ve been wanting for a while now. The pics are shown below :D

New basket for bits n bobs! (: well its mainly for my knitting n balls of wool but goodness what else what i will put in it as you can see! lol.

Also New sewing machine as my other one (the red one) broke.. the bobbin wouldn’t pick up for some reason! think i overused it with a piece of work i was doing.. aparently its only supposed to be used with thin materials like paper and Calico (thin material) wooops! i was using hessian and angelina fibres! (altho the fibres are thin) lol. think it was the hessian that did it! woopsseeee! Lesson learnt me thinks! but hay ho swapped it for a duck egg colour! its a really nice colour!  :D

Interview Resulttsss :D

24 hrs later…….. n i have a conditional offer at Norwich University College of the Arts on the Surface Design Course!!! :D

I am sooooo happyyyy!!! thank goodness the wait is overrr! :D

So now they require me to get 200 Ucas Tariff Points which is an equivalent of getting a Merit in this Foundation Diploma at College this year! :D

Interview went really well though so.. even though afterwards i kept thinking of more things i should have said but hay ho, its done now and they want me thats all that matters! :D During the interview, there was one lecturer and one textiles student present and that was it! I had a big table to display my work on which can i say was actually entirely covered! :D so i shouldn’t have worried if i had enough work or not! lol. mind you that was the butterflies talking, so that was a little expected! Soo yeahh all i did was display my work and talk about some of my pieces of work, this was while they were looking through my work and then they asked me a few questions about my work and general questions like, “Where do i see myself in 5,10 years time?” and ” What would determine which course you decide upon?” (because i applied for two – Textiles AND Surface Design) then they asked me if i had any questions for them, so i had a few :D then that was it! interview over! it was only 20 mins.. although i think it was a bit longer than that! more like half n hr but it sooo didn’t feel like it! :O

Sooo pleeeeasseedddd thoooo!! :D

Also, it was really good to see Norwich again as well! We originally went last summer in june for an open day but it was when all the students put their exhibitions up which was okay but it was better to see their ‘Personal Spaces’ (where the students work) whilst in the working environment! :)
