So relating to the previous blog – so much for blogging again! i am back again and this time i really mean it tho! (hopefully)

so what’s new!?  well…. i have a job and have recently had my probationery period be extended by another month.. to which has ended but because i have been poorly the last 2 weeks, i should think it will get extended again when i go back to work thursday.  However so far it’s been okay… lots of long hours – it’s not really 20 hrs a week which is what i’m contracted for, its more like 30 but as i get paid every week i’m not really complaining.

In July, i went on holiday with my parents to Devon/Exeter for a week. (i might upload pictures in the family section) It was great;  good to just get away from normal every day life here. We got so many really good pictures.  I have infact got them on a slideshow on my digital photoframe next to me as i’m writing this. Some of them just make me wish i was back there again right now. I managed to get lots of arty photographs as well. Some day soon i will get them printed into another photobook ordered from Truprint online for my collection.

I have been trying to get back into my art again and have been doing small projects such as my gift tags again.. ( i will scan them in a bit later and upload them on here soon). I have also dyed a couple of t-shirts- one was for my Dad for his birthday last month (Sept) http://anna-howell.co.uk/2011/09/24/dads-birthday-t-shirt/ and we had a few family over as a surprise for him and believe it or  not, my 29 year old cousin wanted a tshirt just like the one i made for Dad so i’ve been doing that at the moment. I’ve got til Sunday to do it so best get to it after i’ve done this blog.  As well as doing these t-shirts, i did also dye my curtains for my bedroom. http://anna-howell.co.uk/2011/09/24/latest-project-curtain-dying/ they’ve been plain cream for ageeees and i finally did something about it!

So me and Luke are going away together in a couple weeks and we’re really looking forward to it. it will be nice to get away together, just the two of us out of our boring town and from work. i’ve got to go shopping for some warm clothes etc very soon so i’m going to have lots of things to do in the next couple weeks.. hopefully i can get it all done inbetween work etc.. hope my hours wont be too bad. xxxx

hey all, okay so I still haven’t updated this blog in a wee -while. I must start doing it again I think…

So to get me started I would like to blog about the latest projects.. first one is (i don’t know if i’ve mentioned it before so i will say it again anyway) the painting of my art room. I am in fact redecorating it from the ’seasidey’ blue to a nice ‘wild primrose’ yellow and later on I will be painting a colourful, vibrant butterfly on the wall just inside the back door and maybe on the side wall too.
I have been putting this project off for a while which is pretty bad as I haven’t really been inspired much since the ‘uni’ thing,  but I am trying to get back into it again so hopefully this project will get me all inspired… (hopefully… – no promises tho) ANYWAY as i’m doing this basecoat of yellow I am trying to get some ideas of what sort of butterfly and what composition it should be painted. I might upload some pictures as i’m going along so you whoever is still following me on this website can see.  :)

The second project is of the pond in the garden. Dad has decided he wanted to re-line it because we had a leak (aparently). At the same time he is making it bigger and including a much nicer water-feature so when it’s done it will look really nice.. (hopefully) i will upload pics for this too jus’  ’cos i’m nice like that xxxxx

Firstly, i would like to say i’m very sorry i havent uploaded any of my christmas pressies that i made yet. Secondly, whilst trying to find and get a job, i have been making my own projects to keep myself busy whilst i’m waiting to hearback from these companys. *fingers crossed* I have in fact recently bought a new knitting book online, which  came through the post this morning which cheered me up! However, before i get carried away with another new project i want to start, i MUST finish knitting my tunic that i’m knitting at the moment. I’m almost there now, just got to knit the front and the sleeves/straps – i havent decided on what i’m going to make for the arm sections yet but once i finish the front section i will decide then what i want to do but other than that, its looking good so far! http://anna-howell.co.uk/2011/02/25/knitting-a-tunic-first-half/ - there’s a link for the back part of my tunic. i hope you like.

just a quick messeage – i’m sorry to say i’m still delaying these blogs  about my latest xmas creations… unfortunately i havent been able to upload any photo’s for some odd reason so i’m going to have to wait til i can get my brother on it.. we’ve all been very busy at the moment with what my brother getting his own flat and everything! But don’t worry they will be up ASAP!!
